Review : Veet Ready To Use Wax Strips- Normal to Dry Skin

PLEASE FOLLOW ME :) There will be more reviews on other hair removal products and I will soon have a demo on me actually showing you it works.

Since there isn't many many reviews on this specific product. I decided to post this review to tell you about it. Plus it's summer and knowing about which hair removal products you should use and those which that actually produce results , may help you decide how you want to stay hair free.

Veet Ready To Use Wax Strips- Normal to Dry Skin

40 wax Strips and 4 Perfect Finish Wipes

The cost of the 40 wax strips is $ 14.99.

The product itself is pretty decent. It isn't the best wax out there but it does good job for the price you pay. I mainly use this for waxing my legs and I have somewhat coarse hair. Veet actually has two different formulas. The one I am reviewing is the normal to dry skin but they also have a sensitive formula one( In Blue Box), the sensitive formula is not as good as this one. I find the formula of that one is less strong and I would only recommend it if you have thin hair and sensitive skin. Do not recommend for coarse hair.

Anyways back to the normal to dry skin one, it does work on coarse hair which I have and I assume it would work for people with thin hair but like you have heard it will differ from person to person. What works for me may not work for you. The wax works wonders on eyebrows, I just cut it to the size I need. It does hurt just like every other wax but its just a slight sting and your skin will be red for awhile.

Pros:

  • the packaging is attractive( unlike some other wax products packaging)
  • cost- is good for the amount of strips you get
  • it removes a majority of the hair, and is really good for eyebrows
  • the wipes that it comes with do remove all traces of wax that was left after waxing
  • will work on thin hair, if used right. Will also work on coarse hair but depends sometimes.

Cons:

  • it hurts a bit but like I said every wax hurts but it only stings for a few seconds and then your fine
  • a little bit of a turn off is the smell. Which I don't like at all but it doesnt bother me that much
  • you will be red and have red bumps for a few hours to at least a day - sucks :(

I give this product a 7/10

What I do :

  1. First of all before I wax, I exfoliate the part of body I am going to wax a day before. I wouldnt recommend exfoliating right before you wax because it will irritate your skin alot more than it will be with waxing. Always a day before. I exfoliate my skin a day before is because it helps remove dead skin cells and I find I get better results when I do so.
  2. Next, before I actually wax I apply baby powder ( Johnson Brand ) to the area I am about to wax. This will help hurt a little less and when you wax the area it will pull less on your skin and will remove hair. The baby powder will also help soak up any moisture that is on your legs. So you will have better waxing results. Also make sure you have no lotions/cream on your skin, if so rinse your legs or whatever you may be waxing and pat dry.
  3. I warm up the wax between my hand for about a minute or so. You can use blow dry but your better off just sticking to using your hands.
  4. I pull the wax strips apart and apply it to the area I am about to wax, going the direction the hair grows.
  5. Next, I hold my skin taut and pull off the opposite way the hair grows
  6. After, Im done waxing what I want to wax, I will use the perfect finish wipes and clean off the area and your done. Just dont apply any body creams/lotions because you would'nt want to irritate the area you waxed even more.
  7. You should test the wax before you use on whole body. Which is recommended on the box.

I hope this was helpful. This may be alot of information but I wanted it to be as helpful as possible. If I left anything out JUST ASK :)
